Increasing Fairness and Moving Canada Forward: Anti-Racism Strategy 2024-28

Racism in all its forms hurts! Sadly, prevalent of racism and racial discrimination remain prevalent at unprecedented rates in Canadian society. Specifically, as it affects Black Canadians, Anti-Black racism continues to be a major determinant of poor health and social outcomes for Black Canadians. 

The bane of racism and racial discrimination is, undoubtedly, disrupting Canadian values, diversity, equality, and inclusion. 

Addressing racism means amplifying our nation’s multiculturalism and supporting organizations that enhance our collective identity. 

To ensure that every person living in Canada deserves to feel safe and respected in their community, regardless of who they are, what they look like or believe in, Hon. Kamal Khera Minister of Diversity, Inclusion, and Persons with Disabilities highlights the Government of Canada’s measures to remove barriers and prevent and address systemic racism and hate, while supporting community-led initiatives that promote diversity and intentional inclusion.
