Intersectoral Consultation on Black Legal Clinic – SAISIA and Members
Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc. (TAYFFI) in collaboration with Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies (SAISIA) is hosting an intersectoral consultation session to introduce Saskatchewan’s first-ever Black Legal Clinic – a community justice service initiative for Black adults (18+) actively navigating the Justice system.

This session is designed to introduce TAYFFI’s Black Legal Clinic to community members, prospective partners, and stakeholders across humanities and immigrant-serving sector. Through dialogue, reflection, and knowledge sharing, the consultation session aims to move beyond awareness toward practical solutions that strengthen community safety, healing, and prevention.
By attending this session, you will gain knowledge on different services available through TAYFFI’s Access to Justice Program such as:
- Support for individuals actively navigating the court system through the Black Legal Clinic.
- Rehabilitation programs for incarcerated individuals to avoid recidivism.
- Available Afrocentric counselling and psychosocial support for individuals in correctional facilities.
- Re-integration programs and support with reconnecting to the community, finding jobs, mental health, and social services.
- Relevant community resources including cultural brokerage, family dialogue, e.t.c.
- Other services and programs offered at TAYFFI.
