As the sole Black-led, Black-serving charity organization in the city of Saskatoon the Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc. (TAYFFI) is committed to showcasing the myriad of contributions of Black Canadians and advocating for Black communities across the province of Saskatchewan on key aspects of justice, economic relevance, health equity, civic participation, heritage preservation; equal treatment and equal protection under the law in Canada.

As February 2024 approaches, our organization is geared up for celebratory commemoration of Black Heritage featuring unique events and learning engagements, including:

• Saskatchewan’s First-ever Afrocentric Symposium
• Black Heritage Education and Workshops
• Ceremonies
• Annual Black History Month Gala

Themed “Black Awakening” in concert with Saskatchewan local reality, the 2024 Black History Month commemoration hosted by Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc. (TAYFFI) will witness an array of educational and informative conversations, identifying pressure points and proffering whole-of-community strategy for overcoming barriers towards building socially cohesive society.

The 2024 February month-long commemoration of Black History will captivate audiences, create awareness, and grow engagement with a goal to inspire change, build community, and impact mindsets to collectively take action on social justice, peace, and development.
