In furtherance to its commitment to advancing representative inclusion and participatory engagement of all persons in the socioeconomic fabric of the city of Saskatoon, the Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc [TAYFFI] is excited to announce the implementation of a unique initiative titled “Black-Canadian Alliance Network (Black-CAN) initiative.”
In alignment with its core values and objectives, Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc walks the talk as a Saskatoon-based grassroots organization offering an array of unique and people-centered programs and support services especially for members of visible minority groups including members of the Black Canadians and other marginalized communities.
Our organization works collaboratively with the Indigenous Peoples of Saskatoon to improve our cross-cultural understanding, enhance our appreciation for race relations, and increase our inter-personal engagement and shared values. The Black-Canadian Alliance Network will offer a wide array of support, resilience, and solidarity activities for persons who self-identify as Black Canadians and Newcomers resident in Saskatoon
Program activities include:
- Mentorship and leadership support for Black Youth
- Entrepreneurship training program for Black Women
- Black-Canadians Professionals Network
- Business Intelligence and Individual Action Plan
- Community connections and social participation
According to Anthony Olusola, Executive Director of the Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc, “social cohesion is achievable when organization and community leadership is reflective of the residents of any community. Everyone desires to attain self-actualization and participate actively in the advancement of their neighbourhood, community, and places of work; as such, all hands must be on deck to ensure equitable opportunity and cross-knowledge leverage.”
The Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc welcomes applications from interested youth, young adults, and individuals across all ages from Saskatoon Black-Canadian community.
