$13,431.00 (over 25 weeks of paid training and employment)

Sept 28, 2026 – Jan 5, 2027 (Employment term)

Office Hours:

9.30am – 4.30pm, Mon – Fri
(occasional evening or weekend hours may be required)

Position Summary

We are seeking a young, vibrant, and success-driven individual to join our dynamic team for the position of Community Outreach Support Worker.

To further TAYFFI’s mandate of empowering youth, particularly those from Black and other equity-deserving groups, the incumbent will advance TAYFFI’s work of creating barrier-free access for key population youth to participate actively in the socioeconomic fabric of society.

This opportunity is a partnership between Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc. and LetsStopAIDS—a national youth-HIV charity focused on empowering youth-led sexual health initiatives and fostering knowledge exchange and leadership.

As a member of TAYFFI’s frontline team, the Stakeholder Engagement Support Worker helps build and maintain positive relationships between the organization and its stakeholders, such as clients, community members, partner organizations, government agencies, and internal teams.

The Stakeholder Engagement Support Worker provides administrative and operational support to stakeholder engagement activities. The role assists with organizing meetings, maintaining stakeholder relationships, coordinating communications, and ensuring stakeholders receive timely information. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills while supporting the organization’s strategic engagement objectives.

Eligibility:

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must:


i. Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/protected person eligible to work in Canada.

ii. Be between the ages of 18 and 29 years at the time of application.

iii. Not be currently employed or enrolled in an academic institution.

Required Skills and Attributes:

ii. Possess adequate knowledge of interlinked barriers relating to employment and retention of Black individuals in Saskatchewan and demonstrated ability on how to address identified issues.

iii. Ability to quickly synthesize complex ideas, align them with business priorities, and devise actionable strategies to accomplish goals.

iv. Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible to adapt to changing needs and “roll up shirtsleeves” to get the work done; maintains grace under pressure.

v. Ability to organize schedules to meet varied needs of clients, community partners, and stakeholders.

vi. Demonstrated ability to communicate with clarity by listening to others, speaking effectively, and preparing written communication in a clear and concise format.

Key Responsibilities:

i. Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of stakeholder engagement activities, community events, and organizational initiatives.

ii. Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.

iii. Prepare presentations, reports, newsletters, meeting agendas, and other communication materials to support stakeholder engagement.

iv. Coordinate meetings, workshops, consultations, and community engagement sessions, ensuring effective planning and execution.

v. Maintain accurate stakeholder databases, contact lists, and engagement records to support ongoing communication and reporting.

vi. Respond to stakeholder inquiries in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.

vii. Collect, organize, and analyze stakeholder feedback to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

viii. Monitor stakeholder engagement activities and prepare clear, concise summary reports on outcomes and key findings.

ix. Collaborate with project teams to identify, address, and respond to stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations.

x. Assist in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and communication strategies.

xi. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable legislation in all stakeholder engagement activities.

xii. Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling, filing, document management, and maintaining accurate records.

xiii. Perform other duties and responsibilities in support of TAYFFI’s operations as assigned by the Operations Manager or other designated supervisor.

ii. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.

iii. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with a proven capacity to engage diverse stakeholders.

iv. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

v. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to navigate challenges effectively.

vi. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

vii. Experience with CRM or stakeholder management systems is considered an asset.

viii. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

ix. Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.

x. Access to a personal vehicle and possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Qualifications

i. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

ii. Previous experience in stakeholder engagement, customer service, community development, administration, or a related support role is preferred.

iii. Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders is considered an asset.
