Ready to start a business, level up your skills, and get certified—for free?
The Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc., in partnership with the RBC and CIBC, is proud to launch the Skills Unplugged Youth Empowerment Training Program.
This program is designed for individuals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, ages 20–29, who are seeking to strengthen their career pathways and gain practical, in-demand skills.
Program Dates: Apr 30-June 13, 2026
Session times:
Thursdays: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m
Saturdays: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Participants will benefit from a comprehensive learning experience that includes:

Entrepreneurship and Startup Development: Learning how to turn ideas into viable businesses and exploring real-world ventures such as small business services, community-based initiatives, and digital startups.

Digital Literacy and AI for workplace success: Gain essential skills in digital tools to enhance and automate workflows while also understanding their ethical and responsible use.

Financial Literacy and Investment Fundamentals: Build strong money management skills including budgeting, saving, credit understanding, and introduction to investment.

Workplace Etiquette and professionalism: Develop strong interpersonal skills to succeed in any professional environment.

Peer-to-Peer Mentorship and Industry Exposure: Connect with peers, volunteers, and professionals across various fields such as public service, technology, creative industries (photography, media production), and skilled trades, while gaining real-world insights and guidance.
In addition, participants will receive support to pursue a fully funded certification or licensure of their choice, aligned with their individual career goals.
