Her non-academic involvement within the university includes serving on different leadership positions such as president Canadian Alliance of Medical Students Against Human Trafficking; Student Medical Society of Saskatchewan, Regina-Saskatoon liaison; community outreach executive, Black Medical Students Association; and treasurer, Immigrant and Refugee health group. She also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada; Hope Restored Canada; former president, Saskatchewan Coalition for Tobacco Reduction, among other community involvement.Her core areas of interest in the field of medicine are health advocacy, mental health and population/public health. She enjoys working primarily with youth, women, marginalized population groups and other demographics as required. Her work has spanned across commercial tobacco reduction, HIV/AIDS and adolescent reproductive health care, disease/injury prevention and other health promotion activities.
She brings her experience in health promotion and working with youth/other demographics to TAYFFI. Her knowledge, passion and energy make her an indefatigable team player and a gift to those she meets.
