Dr. Judy White is Professor Emerita with the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina and a registered social worker. She migrated to Saskatchewan from Trinidad and Tobago in 1987 and has remained committed to promoting dignity, social justice, strong human relationships, and the well-being of individuals and communities.
Her work reflects a particular commitment to the mental health and well-being of newcomers to Saskatchewan. She advocates for communities that respect and celebrate diverse cultures and traditions while addressing systemic barriers that can affect the aspirations and well-being of newcomers and their families.
As a member of TAYFFI’s Mental Health and Wellness Advisory, Dr. White contributes her expertise, insight, and experience to strengthening TAYFFI’s efforts to support the mental health and well-being of ethnocultural individuals and families.
