As part of the annual Welcoming Week\, which unites newcomers to the city\, this event shone a spotlight on diversity\, inclusion\, and the incredible strength that comes from building a welcoming and dynamic community. \nWith over 80 seniors in attendance\, this celebration was more than just a gathering—it was a joyful tribute to the most important members of our community\, our seniors\, who safeguard and preserve our cultural heritage. The Senior Social Event provided a warm\, inclusive space for our elders to connect\, share stories\, and welcome new seniors to the city. From energizing chair yoga and an insightful presentation on scam prevention to the vibrant Chinese Dragon Dance and a moving Reconciliation Circle led by Dr. Jacqueline Maurice\, the day was brimming with excitement and meaningful moments. \nThis event\, part of a larger Welcoming Week celebration that is sponsored by IPSK Immigration Partnership Saskatoon\, highlighted the importance of bringing people together—fostering connection\, honoring traditions\, and building a stronger\, more inclusive future for all.
