Busy Fingers YouthTech Hangout
About the Program: The Busy Fingers YouthTech Hangout will provide a platform to educate the most vulnerable -children and youth- members of the Saskatoon community on how to effectively use technology for positive goals.
Program Focus: Participating youth will:
- acquire knowledge on computer fundamentals and digital literacy;
- learn about the growing body of online hate and cyber-bullying;
- gain insights on acceptable cyber space and social media ethics;
- obtain information about available support/intervention for victims of cyber-bullying or online hate;
- develop youth-led strategy on how to effectively use technology for positive goals.
Target participant: Youth ages 18-24 across Saskatoon Indigenous, mainstream, and newcomer communities
Month schedule: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month
Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
