Organizational Profile:

The Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation Inc [TAYFFI] is a Saskatoon-based organization. TAYFFI’s activities include, but are not limited to the coordination of service and program delivery in Saskatoon and Area for members of the vulnerable populations; the facilitation of information exchange and collaboration with allied organizations; the identification of trends, common challenges, and promising practices in newcomer services in Saskatoon and Area.

Program Description:

The Inclusive Capacity Advancement for Newcomers [I-CAN] Initiative aims at fostering capacity advancement, leadership development, and mentorship among racialized women and youth especially those from the local newcomer community.

Program Activity:

The project will support an array of activities including but not limited to (i) Youth leadership training sessions (including training modules and curriculum); (ii) women’s empowerment training sessions (including training modules and curriculum); (iii) Youth hands-on community engagement/volunteer placements; and (iv) The development of public awareness manual on racism within the local context
